Awesome food. I don't know why, but I love little dive breakfast joints and this is definitely a dive, but the food is unbeatable and the price is right. We feed a family of five, stuffed and with leftovers, for $35 here. The eggs are cooked perfectly. The bacon could be a little crispier. The hashbrowns are great and the cinnamon roll pancakes are phenomenal. The coffee is great too. No complaints. The waitress is not sugary sweet but she knows her stuff and she's quick.

"Darcy's Cafe" is a "Run-A-Way Bill" Favorite! Local folks sitting around a counter (or in a booth) telling tales and eating "Momma's Home-Cookin'" kinda food. Servers are not smiley & personable BUT they are extremely efficient! Small & comfortable with very fair prices ... "Run-A-Way Bill" was here! 08/28/15

Had a great breakfast and service here, looking forward to more meals when I can get in again! My last couple times there was a long line waiting for tables....outside the front!

This place is seriously awesome!! It's a tiny little greasy spoon cafe that can be easily overlooked because of its size and location but the locals know this treasure is the real deal, you must go! The eggs are always cooked perfect no matter how you order them and everything I have ever ordered here has been A+! The cinnamon roll pancakes are phenomenal!

Absolutely the best diner food in town. Great food at a great price. I took my father there 3 times in a week because he liked it so much. Come early if you don't want to wait.

I lived in grand forks my whole life and was just introduced to this place a couple years ago. I don't know how this place was kept from me for so long. Hands down the best breakfast and lunch in town. They just extended their hours which is great because sometimes you just need Darcy's in the late afternoon/early evening. Highly recommend.

My pops and I don't go anywhere else for breakfast. I've ventured out and gotten a couple of different things (breakfast burrito and Philly) but I always go back to the Dave's special with pumpkin pancakes (when available but regular pancakes are still the best pancakes ever). The service is wonderful even when busy- your coffee cup will never go empty. The key is always patience and understanding. There is typically only two waitresses-You may have to wait a couple of min. Especially if they're busy you may have to wait for a seat but it's well worth it! Can't beat the food or the price! :)

Awesome food. I had the #2 on the breakfast menu, the Mettenburg sausage, kraut, hash browns, scrambled eggs and pancakes. All was awesome. Will look for Darcy's Cafe next time I'm in town!

The corned beef hash, German sausage, real and thick bacon, and excellent service make me confident that I will return here again and again.

The food is awesome!! They have real corned beef hash, and awesome homestyle breakfast! The waitress that works here is extremely rude to the point I don't think I'll be back. Very disappointed that I don't feel welcome at Darcy Fonders namesake.

Darcy's is always full, but somehow, I always get a table. It's a small, classic diner. There is counter in the middle and booths around the edge and thats it. The home fries are the closest to my grandmothers I've ever had, and my grandmothers home fries are the best. The food I've had here has always well prepared, I've had a couple of omelettes here that where just better omelettes. It was something about the cheese and the texture of the eggs. Also, every time I've been there the specials have been interesting and well executed. I really feel like the kitchen at Darcy's is really into food and it shows. The staff is quick and friendly. It would be nice if they would upgrade the coffee a notch, it's not that it's bad, it's just that's when every thing else is so good, it would be nice to have a great cup of joe to go with it. On the other hand, the farmers that seem to make up a big chunk of the clientele might revolt, so maybe they don't want to mess with success.

Food and service was great! Smaller diner so don't be surprised if you have to wait for a seat, but tables rotate through rather quickly. This was my first visit but won't be my last.

Amazing greasy spoon like diner. Great food, good prices and good service. Good food to get your morning going or to cure your hang over.

Darcy's is known for its great breakfast, and can be quite busy in the morning. Come in at 7 after the farmers leave and before the college students pile in. The prices are great and sometimes the coffee is stronger than the typical brown water here. I like the American fries, breakfast sandwich, and the pancakes.

Darcy's Cafe is a staple of the old north end. The breakfast at Darcy's is delicious; a large meal of bacon, eggs, pancakes, and hash browns. Great food, however, is not matched by great prices. You can expect to pay quite a bit for a meal, well over $10 in some cases. The great thing is that the great food is matched by great workers. A collection of older employees and farmer-patrons makes for some interesting conversations about an array of political and social issues. Another little quip about the place is that there is a door that connects Darcy's with its neighbor, Double D's Barber Shop. All in all, Darcy's is a great place for some people watching, to catch a good breakfast, and for some interesting conversation about things that are important to the Grand Forks area residents.
